Drug and Alcohol Counsellor
Position Summary
Conayt Friendship Society is looking for a qualified and motivated individual for the position of Alcohol and Drug Counsellor. The Alcohol and Drug Counsellor is responsible for providing confidential addictions counselling, education and support to Aboriginal individuals, families, and the community in accordance with the program plan. Uses a case management approach to manage a varied, complex, demanding, and occasionally crisis-oriented caseload. Assesses, provides direct intervention or referrals to service providers/programs related to addictive patterns of behavior; concurrent disorders; the impact of intergenerational addictions.
Prenatal and Family Outreach Worker
Position Summary:
Reporting to the Coordinators, the Prenatal Support/Family Outreach worker provides basic outreach and support to families with young children and administrative duties. This is a full-time position 37.5 hours per week.
Prenatal Coordinator
Conayt Friendship Society is looking for a qualified and motivated individual for the position of Prenatal Coordinator. This is a full-time position 37.5 hours per week. The Conayt Friendship Society is committed to the implementation of the Canadas Prenatal Nutrition Program (CPNP) and the Province’s Early Childhood Development for Urban Aboriginal Communities (ECD) initiatives. The programs teach, model, and promote positive health practices using outreach, education, practical support, and community development strategies. Both provide our Society and the community with an opportunity to achieve healthy pregnancy and family outcomes for families, women, and youth who are at risk and who do not typically access traditional prenatal and health services.
Aboriginal Head Start Early Childhood Educator
Position Summary
This position requires the ability to program plan to provide a culturally inclusive program that focuses on whole child development as well as offer positive child guidance techniques and supervision within the AHS framework.
You will be working with the coordinator as well the Lead ECE to assist in classes of up to 16 children at a time to deliver a structured and dynamic program. It will involve being attentive to children’s needs but having a gentle but firm attitude to help guide children through a learning and developmental process.

The bus driver operates the bus to transport Conayt Friendship Society’s Members and staff to and from destination planned by the organization. Their main duties are to transport members and staff, maintain their safety and assist all passengers.
