Conayt AGM 2022

A virtual annual general meeting is called for Friday, April 22 at 1:00 pm.

The Annual Report, Audit Reports and minutes of the previous Annual General Meeting will be available at Conayt Friendship Society office beginning on April 11, 2022 between 8:30 am and 3:00 pm.

A nomination and vote for 5 members to the Board of Directors will take place prior to the meeting. Eligible members will be sent a package by mail which will include nomination and voting details. Nomination packages are also available for pickup at the Conayt office on 2164 Quilchena Avenue starting on April 6, 2022.

Only individuals with current membership can vote or be nominated for office. Membership application deadline is April 8, 2022 at 3:00 pm. Any applications received after this date/time will not be eligible to vote for the Board of Directors or at the April 22nd, 2022 Annual General Meeting.

Conayt Friendship Society Annual General Meeting Voting Options

Eligible electors will have three options to vote for directors in this year's AGM:

1. Online by email (Friday, April 15th to Wednesday, April 20th, 2022 9:00 am to 3:00 pm)

2. for those without digital access, by phone to deputy election officers (by calling Smartballot Electoral deputy officers at 1-855-923-3006 toll free Wednesday April 20, 2022 9:00 am to 3:00 pm)

3. by secret ballot vote in person at Conayt Friendship Society, 2164 Quilchena Avenue, Merritt (Wednesday, April 20th, 9:00 am to 3:00 pm)

All candidates who have been nominated in the election will be posted on our social media pages and website and can also be picked up in person from Conayt Friendship Society office after the nomination period has closed on April 14, 2022 at 3:00 pm.

All Conayt Friendship Society members with a current email on file will be emailed a link to vote online starting on April 15, 2022 to Wednesday April 20, 2022 (9:00 am to 3:00 pm). For any members that do not have email or access to a computer all Conayt Friendship Society can phone in their vote by calling Smartballot Electoral officers at 1-855-923-3006 toll free on April 20, 2022 (9:00 am to 3:00 pm). If the call is not picked up immediately, please leave a message and one of the support agents will call you back.

If you prefer to vote in person by secret ballot you can come in person to Conayt Friendship Society office at 2164 Quilchena Avenue in Merritt on April 20, 2022 (9:00 am to 3:00 pm). Although our AGM is being conducted virtually, you are also welcome to attend in person on April 22, 2022 starting at 1:00 pm at our office located at 2164 Quilchena Avenue in Merritt.

April 8, 2022 - Membership application deadline to be eligible to vote for the Board of Directors or at the 2022 AGM.

April 14, 2022 at 3 pm - deadline to nominate for the board of directors (info sheets is downloadable below). Your completed Nomination Form can be brought to Conayt Friendship Society receptionist 8:30 am to 3:00 pm Monday to Friday or emailed to:

executiveassistant@conayt.com before April 14th, 2022, at 3:00 pm.

April 15, 2022 9 am to April 20, 2022 3 pm - voting is available online, in person, or by phone.

April 22, 2022 at 1 pm - Virtual AGM, please attend if possible. You can also attend in person at the Conayt building in Merritt.
