Youth Services and Supports



 

 

This Service is for adolescent youth, and youth in transition to adulthood. Parents as guardians are welcome.

Our vision is to empower youth to gaining their independence and become self sufficient. To provide youth services incorporating cultural, traditional, spiritual beliefs, and language.

 

This Program Provides

  • One to one support
  • Group Support (age based: 6-11 years; 12-18 years, 19+)
  • Lesbian, Gay, Bi-Sexual, Transgendered, Queer and questioning, Two-Spirited+ (LGBTQ2+) Inclusivity
  • Cultural Activities 
  • Elder and Youth Engagement
  • Education & Employment Support
  • Life Skills Development 
  • Set Goals for Success
  • Youth Justice Support through cultural and traditional practices
  • Helpful Advice

Through the Youth Advisory Committee youth ages (12-18 years) are welcome to join and have their input into Youth Services provided.

 

Program Eligibility

  • All Nations 
  • Ages: 6-11 years; 12-18 years, 19+ Youth in Transition to Adulthood
  • Parents/Guardians welcome to support Group Activities
  • Self, Community, Agency & Organization Referrals
  • Voluntary service; Drop-ins welcome
  • Live in the Merritt area or surrounding 5 bands
